New Metrolink Facility for Bridgend County Borough Council, featuring Four Modern Bus Terminals designed to enhance public transportation and accessibility for the Local Community
Our Electrical Team successfully led the project internally, collaborating seamlessly with our Mechanical, Fire, and Security teams. By managing most of the work in-house, we provided the customer with a single point of contact, simplifying communication and ensuring quick resolution of any issues that might arise when coordinating multiple contractors on-site
This project, characterised by extensive glass curtain walling and prominently exposed steel beams, presented a unique challenge. The client had a clear vision for the building’s aesthetic and was determined to keep all internal installations as hidden as possible to maintain its sleek, modern appearance. Meeting these expectations required creative problem-solving and careful planning.
Our dedicated site team worked tirelessly to develop practical and innovative solutions that aligned with the client’s goals while overcoming the inherent complexities of the design. The team developed an underfloor screed trunking system that allowed for the discreet routing of installations throughout the building. From there, the services were carefully directed upward into the steel beams, completely out of sight, before being delivered to their intended locations. This approach not only upheld the architectural integrity of the building but also ensured functionality without compromising the client’s desired aesthetic.
We successfully delivered an outstanding project, meeting all milestones on time and staying well within the allocated budget. This achievement reflects our commitment to quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. Beyond the technical success, the project also provides valuable benefits to the local community, offering enhanced services and contributing to the area’s development. By combining meticulous planning, effective resource management, and a customer-focused approach, we were able to create a result that not only fulfils the project’s goals but also positively impacts the surrounding community.
