Installation of new L1 Fire Alarm System
Due to an unserviceable, end of life system, we were requested to provide a suitable new alternative.
We conducted several on-site pre-start meetings to determine the most suitable system and completed a comprehensive site survey. Our in-house fire designers created a suitable system in accordance with customer requirements and safety standards, and our drawing team created detailed computer aided designs for approval.
Works took take place during evenings and weekends to ensure minimal disruption to the school's regular activities.
We maintained consistent communication with the client and regular progress meetings were held to ensure the project proceeded smoothly and integrated seamlessly into the existing access control system.
Due to the presence of asbestos, only operatives trained to work with non-licensable asbestos were deployed on this project utilising specialist protective clothing and adhering to specific risk assessments and method statements.
The project was successfully completed on time, commissioned, and handed over without disruption to the school.
