Designing, installing, and commissioning a security package specifically for the Dyfed Powys Police policing hub.
Dyfed Powys Police required a specialised security system that could seamlessly integrate CCTV, Affray, Cell Call, Intercom, and Access Control into a user-friendly and efficient system. Drawing on our past collaborations with multiple police forces in England and Wales, Tremorfa worked closely with the client to deliver a tailored solution that met their specific needs. Our specialist team are equally comfortable delivering new build and refurbishment works.

Initial Meeting
We specialise in early engagement. Our initial meetings aim to understand the client’s requirements and support them through design development. We then introduce and explain the functionality of the Tasicca system. Our goal is to provide an easy-to-use system which supports and enhances operational activity. Resilience and robustness are critical. We supply various components interfaced with each other whilst remaining independent. This minimises the risk of a total system failure.
Collaborating with the main contractor, we communicate our requirements to ensure a smooth installation process for cables and equipment, limiting the likelihood of any issues.

Our role as a specialised contractor is to address the intricate security requirements of the site, aligning with both customer needs and pertinent policing standards.
We manage all aspects, including design, installation, and commissioning, leveraging our in-house resources throughout the entire process. Our specialist team has knowledge of operating procedures, legislation, policy, and design standards.
Collaborating with the client, we created a cause-and-effect matrix to optimise the security system for Dyfed Powys Police. Our approach is highly personalised, tailoring our services to meet the specific needs of the client and ensuring the delivery of a precise and effective solution for each site. Every project is uniquely customised, ensuring that it is built to their exact specifications.
In projects when the client employs CCTV and Access Control products throughout their estate, we take a proactive approach by engaging with relevant suppliers. We ensure our engineers are equipped with the necessary knowledge to correctly install and maintain the equipment.

Process
We ran individual cables from our communication room to each device through the containment provided by the electrical contractor.
One of the challenges we encountered onsite was incomplete containment in certain areas. We collaborated closely with the electrical contractor to address this issue without causing project delay. All installation was carried out in phases aligned to the programme schedule required by the main contractor.
In the design phase, a modification to the NPEG custody design guide occurred during RIBA Stage 4. We were required at pace to introduce a forensic medical examination room within the footprint. We had to adjust the design to integrate this change. Our in-house team demonstrated flexibility, allowing us to seamlessly incorporate the modification into both our Revit model and CAD drawings.

Success
The project was successfully completed within the specified timeframe, and the client expressed satisfaction with the system and its functionality post-training. A positive working relationship has been established, with the client indicating their intention to engage us in future projects
