Our approach

Scoping

This project came through mini-competition on a construction framework we have been successful in placing on for the past 7 years.

Following the successful tender, our bid team set out the scope of works, completion dates and specific project requirements in a handover meeting with our project and procurement teams.

Our approach

Logistics

Tremorfa completed the full design of this project within demanding time constraints.

Upon receiving instructions, our procurement forecasting process was promptly initiated. We immediately delved into the procurement process due to the possibility of extended lead times for materials, especially for larger cables.

Our approach

Improvement

A crucial aspect of this project involved the intricate installation of two 240mm 5-core Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) cables, spanning a distance of 190 meters through tunnels beneath the hospital.

This challenge was heightened by the tunnels intersecting with the hospital's main access roads, necessitating meticulous planning and coordination.

To address this, we organised road closures in collaboration with the hospital administration, aiming to minimise disruptions to hospital operations and traffic flow. The presence of asbestos within the underground tunnels mandated the involvement of specialist contractors with expertise in asbestos handling.

Given the asbestos presence, our team members trained in Asbestos Category B protocols were deployed to conduct drilling under these demanding conditions while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and expertise.

Our approach

Testimonial

Time was a critical factor at the Fluoroscopy Unit, where procedures had been scheduled months in advance in preparation for the program's completion date. Fortunately, the works were completed well in advance, allowing the unit to welcome its first patients on schedule.
